PET strapping, also known as Photovoltaic PET Strap (plastic steel strapping), is a polyester strapping formed by extrusion and unidirectional stretching with PET as the main raw material. PET strapping is a new type of environmentally friendly packaging material that is currently popular internationally to replace steel strapping, steel wire, and heavy-duty PP strapping. Since 2002, the demand for PET strapping bands in China has grown at an annual rate of 500% and is now widely used in industries such as wood, paper, steel, aluminum ingots, steel pipes, profiles, glass, building materials, ceramics, electrical appliances, metal products, tobacco, chemical fibers, and cotton bands. It appears transparent, but becomes opaque after the addition of tackifying agents, with a smooth surface or rhombic patterns.

Features of Photovoltaic PET Strap

(1) It has strong tensile strength, featuring both the tensile strength of steel strips and the ductility to resist impact, which can better ensure the safety of product transportation.

(2) It has a small elongation, with an elongation rate only one sixth of that of polypropylene tape, and can maintain tension for a long time.

(3) It has strong heat resistance, with a melting point of 260 degrees Celsius and will not deform when used below 120 degrees Celsius.

(4) It has good safety, without the risk of steel straps rusting and contaminating the bound objects, and its color is bright and shiny.

(5) It has excellent economic benefits. The length of 1 ton of PET strapping is equivalent to that of 6 tons of steel strapping, and the unit price per meter is more than 40% lower than that of steel strapping, which can help users reduce costs.
